A school website that spoke to four age groups at once
An independent girls’ school in Eastbourne, whose website gave its nursery, junior and senior schools and sixth form their own voice.
Four schools, four feeds
Every news item and event carried a marker for the parts of the school it belonged to — nursery, juniors, seniors, sixth form — and readers could filter the list down to the one they cared about. The same tagging drove eight RSS feeds, so each section of the school had its own stream for parents who wanted to follow it.

Prospectus requests that told the school who was asking
The request form asked for more than a name and an address. It captured the child’s name and date of birth, the year the family had in mind for entry, and the country they were writing from — so an enquiry about a boarding place from overseas arrived looking quite different from a local day-place enquiry, and the admissions team could answer it properly.
The header carried a row of national flags leading to a page that welcomed international families in their own languages — Spanish, French, Chinese, German and Russian — each written for the school rather than machine-translated.
