One website for four schools under one roof
An all-through free school in Eastbourne, served by one website and one content management system.
Applications for in-year places, taken online
Places do not only come up in September. The site explained how in-year admissions worked, set out the oversubscription criteria, and let a family apply to the school directly rather than printing a form and posting it. The admissions policy for each year sat alongside it, so parents could read the rules that applied to their application.

News and documents that knew which school they belonged to
An all-through school has four audiences reading the same website. Every news item, event and document was tagged to one or more parts of the school, so a lower-school notice never crowded a sixth-form page and a sixth-form deadline never reached a reception parent. One editor, one place, four audiences.
Everything the school published, in one admin
Behind the site, the school edited its own content: news and events including recurring dates, governors, staff grouped by department, school bulletins, the document library, vacancies and the homepage itself. Parents signed in to a private area with its own document library, separate from the public site.
