LifeStyle AV

We built the website for an Eastbourne specialist in pre-owned Bang & Olufsen, where every product could be seen in detail, reserved, compared or sold to the team.

LifeStyle AV was an Eastbourne company that specialised in pre-owned Bang & Olufsen televisions, speakers, music systems and accessories. It opened in 2005, sold to customers across the UK and beyond, and welcomed visitors to a demonstration area at its premises.

Every product shown in detail

LifeStyle AV sold carefully checked, pre-owned Bang & Olufsen, and customers wanted to see exactly what they were buying before they committed. The website arranged the stock into televisions, speakers, music systems and accessories, with each range introduced in plain words and every item listed with its own price.

Each product page carried photographs that customers could enlarge, a description of the item and its condition, and links to product information and answers to common questions about that range.

Easy ways to shortlist, reserve and ask

Pre-owned stock is one of a kind, so the site gave customers simple ways to act before an item was gone:

  • My Showroom, where visitors could save products and compare them by price or range
  • Reserving a product online
  • A “let me know when the next one arrives” request for items that had already sold
  • Product enquiries, and sending a product to a friend by email
  • A newsletter sign-up for special offers

Each request went straight to the team by email, with a check on the forms to keep automated spam out.

Buying stock as well as selling it

LifeStyle AV bought from Bang & Olufsen dealers and private owners, so buying mattered as much as selling. The site explained which products the team would buy, answered common questions about collection and payment, and led owners to an online selling form for a quote.

Behind the scenes, the team ran the website themselves from an administration system: adding products and ranges, publishing special offers, customer testimonials and FAQs, and following up reservations and selling enquiries.
