One website for retail and wholesale
Siesta Crafts had grown from a Canterbury market stall into a major fair trade importer, sourcing handmade crafts from artisans across the world. But their growth needed a proper digital foundation — one responsive website that could serve both retail customers browsing and buying online, and wholesale trade buyers placing bulk orders from a large and constantly changing product catalogue.
They needed a site that worked for two very different audiences — retail shoppers discovering fair trade products, and returning trade customers who needed quick reordering, wholesale pricing, and advanced product search — all while reflecting the brand’s ethical, handcrafted identity.
Quick shop for wholesale customers
For returning trade buyers who already know what they want, we built a quick shop facility that lets them add products to their order by product code — no need to browse the full catalogue. Combined with advanced search by category, price range, country of origin and product code, wholesale customers can find and reorder products in seconds.
The responsive design means trade buyers can place orders from anywhere — at trade shows, in their shop, or on the move.
Flexible payments and PDF invoicing
We integrated PayPal and Amazon Payments to give customers choice and confidence at checkout. For wholesale orders, the system generates PDF proforma invoices automatically — saving the team hours of manual paperwork and giving trade customers the documentation they need.
Behind the scenes, a content management system lets the Siesta Crafts team update products, manage stock levels, and keep the catalogue current without any technical knowledge.
