A digital home for the sector’s standards body
The JIB needed a comprehensive digital platform that reflected its role at the heart of the electrotechnical sector. The website had to serve electrical contractors looking for membership information, apprentices navigating training programmes, and industry professionals accessing registers and handbooks.
Beyond the website, the JIB also needed mobile applications and integrated systems to support its members in the field — putting industry resources, contact directories, and essential tools in their pockets.
Membership and industry directories
We built a membership hub that communicates the value of JIB membership for electrical contractors of all sizes, with clear pathways to join and access benefits. The site includes searchable directories — the JIB Member finder, the Cabling and Jointing Register, and the ECS Check Subscribers list — so clients and the public can verify registered contractors.
The JIB Handbook, the definitive reference for employment in the sector covering National Working Rules and grading definitions, is integrated into the site for easy access by members.
Training programmes and mobile apps
The JIB’s apprenticeship and training initiatives — Apprentice Essentials, Apprentice Exchange, and the Skills Development Fund — are all managed through the platform. We built dedicated sections to guide apprentices and employers through the registration and training process.
Alongside the website, we developed mobile applications that give JIB members access to essential resources on the go — from handbook references and grading information to contact directories and industry news — supporting electricians wherever they’re working.
