A platform for the assessment journey
NET needed a website that served multiple audiences — candidates preparing for electrotechnical assessments, training providers guiding their students, and employers looking to verify competence. But it needed to go far beyond a brochure site.
The platform had to help candidates find their nearest assessment centre, check availability, access preparation resources, and — when needed — submit formal appeals against assessment outcomes, all integrated with NET’s internal systems.
Find a Centre
We built an interactive centre locator that lets candidates search by location, postcode, region, or assessment type across NET’s entire network of centres in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Results display on an interactive map with full contact details and the specific qualifications available at each location.
The tool includes geolocation support, sorting centres by proximity, and filtering by assessment type — AM2, AM2S, AM2E, cable jointing and more — making it the definitive resource for finding the right centre.
Centre Availability
Beyond finding a centre, candidates need to know when there are spaces available. We built a Centre Availability tool that displays real-time capacity information across NET’s assessment centres, filterable by month and region.
The system pulls live data so candidates can identify centres with good availability in their area, view specific date ranges, and contact centres directly to book — reducing the back-and-forth that used to slow down the booking process.
Appeals integration
When a candidate disagrees with an assessment outcome, they need a formal, auditable process. We built an appeals system that integrates directly with NET’s live internal appeals management system, allowing candidates to submit appeals online with supporting evidence.
The system validates eligibility, enforces deadlines, and routes submissions through the correct workflow — from initial investigation through to outcome notification and escalation if needed. What was previously a manual, paper-based process became a streamlined digital one.
