squid Terms of Use
The terms on which we provide squid, our client system.
Last updated: 20 September 2026
In short. Your squid account is issued to you personally, shows information about the company you work for, and is free to use. Nothing you do in squid changes the agreement between us and your company, and nothing you ask for there commits either of us to anything until we have agreed it in writing.
1. Your account
We issue squid accounts to named people at the companies we work for. An account is yours: please do not share it, and do not let anyone else sign in as you. If someone else needs access, ask us and we will set them up.
Two-step sign-in is required and cannot be turned off.
Tell us promptly if you think someone else has your password, or if you leave the company. We will close an account when the company tells us to, or if it is being used by someone other than the person it was issued to.
2. What you can see
An account only ever shows information belonging to the one company it is attached to. Some sections, such as invoices, are switched on per person by agreement with your company, so you may not see everything another colleague sees.
3. The figures shown
squid shows information drawn from the systems that hold it: website records from our own systems, billing from our accounting system, and visitor figures from Google Analytics. We take care that it is accurate, but figures are shown as those systems report them and are not a warranty.
Where something matters — an amount owed, a renewal date, a deadline — please treat the invoice, the agreement or our written confirmation as the authority rather than the screen.
4. The improvement panel
You can raise anything you would like changed or improved. Doing so does not commit you to anything and does not commit us to doing it.
If an improvement is chargeable we will send a written quote for your approval before any work starts. Nothing raised through squid is treated as an instruction to spend money. Where something is covered by your existing support arrangement we will simply do it and say so.
5. Availability
squid is provided as part of how we work with you, at no additional charge. We aim to keep it available but it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. It is not a backup of your data and should not be relied on as one.
6. How this sits with our other agreements
These terms cover your use of squid and nothing else. They do not vary the services agreement between us and your company, or the data processing agreement that governs how we handle your website’s data. If anything here appears to conflict with those agreements, those agreements apply.
7. Using it sensibly
Please do not try to reach information belonging to another company, test the security of the system without asking us first, or use automated tools to collect what is shown. If you find a security problem we would genuinely like to hear about it: security@eplatforms.com.
8. Your personal information
What we hold about you as a squid user, and why, is set out in the squid privacy notice.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change matters we will say so when you next sign in rather than quietly replacing the page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
