Background

GROW is a Mental Health Organisation which helps people who have suffered, or are suffering, from mental health problems. Members are helped to recover from all forms of mental breakdown.

GROW, founded in Australia in 1957 by former mental sufferers, has a national network of over 400 groups in Australia and has now spread to six other countries being New Zealand, Ireland, England, the USA, Canada and Mauritius.

Brief

To provide a clean, simple to use web presence for the UK community. The website should be fully W3C compliant and must meet triple-A (AAA) accessibility guidelines of W3C WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines) as benchmaked by WebXACT.

Solution

eplatforms donated domain acquistion and free website hosting. In addition eplatforms development team took on the task of creating fully acessible website pages at no cost to GROW.

The website achieves:

  • W3C compliance across all pages
  • W3C WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines)
  • AAA Bobby approved standard

Result

The GROW UK website now provides testimonies from GROW members who joined GROW and recovered through using the GROW 12-Step Program. Visitors to the website can email GROW with any queries they may have.
