American Express Business Travel is the world leader in business travel management.
When American Express decided to switch from PCs leased from Sabre (the world’s largest travel network) to their own machines,
they needed a way to quickly and securely transfer everything. That included all desktop settings, travel
software settings, ticket printer configurations, documents, emails and Internet bookmarks.
The solution
We developed a bespoke program that could automate the backup (from the old machines) and
restoration (onto the new machines) for approximately 1800 computers in over 60 locations.
We were asked to act as technical lead and worked alongside other IT partners and supported the team
of engineers who carried out the equipment transfer over a 6-week period.

- Audit trail facility allowed seeing exactly where every piece of data went
